CBD Oil and how to use it

Intro

There are a lot of new CBD products which have started appearing in the last year or two and there seems to be a lack of information available about them. A lot of the time, it appears to be easier to find the actual products than accurate information about them. Today we’re discussing an extremely effective and popular product, CBD Oil Tinctures!

What exactly is a CBD Tincture?

CBD Oil Tinctures are one of the most direct and effective ways of receiving CBD into your body. The CBD oil within a tincture would normally come in very high dosages (between 500mg and 2500mg) and would only require a small amount to be taken in order to reap the benefits of using them.

Due to tinctures being concentrated CBD product with high potency, the best way to use a CBD oil tincture effectively is to place a few drops of the liquid under your tongue and hold it there for around 10 seconds allowing most of it to be absorbed before finally swallowing any remaining CBD oil. The CBD would be absorbed by your sublingual artery (under your tongue) which will then travel to your external carotid artery, then through the internal carotid artery, and into your brain. The effects of using a CBD tincture starts to take place in about 15 minutes from the initial absorption.

CBD tinctures tend to come in either 10ml or 30ml bottles and contain organic hemp oil which is infused with the highest quality natural CBD. Tinctures are created by steeping hemp flowers which are rich in CBD, in either high-proof grain alcohol and finally cooking it over low heat for multiple hours. Some companies may use Vinegar or Glycerin as an alternative to high-proof grain alcohol. It is very time consuming but simple enough to do.

Once the liquid is created and ready, it is most commonly mixed with a sweet-tasting carrier oil such as orange, strawberry or peppermint. Without being mixed with a flavoured oil the liquid would be very bitter and not very nice to ingest.

For the final product to be legal for sale within the UK, it would need to be high in CBD potency and have a THC content of less than 0.2%, which also classes these products as THC Free.

CBD oil has been available on the high street too, with well-known brands, selling a range of CBD diet supplements and ointments. This is a key factor in making the product more accessible to the masses, although their products are not really suitable for vaping.

There are many benefits of using CBD tinctures as they are easy to consume discreetly and do not require using an e-cigarette or combustion. Only small doses are needed and as it is applied via a pipette, you can adjust your intake with absolute precision.
